SoundFont???

Don't panic! Handling SoundFonts and understanding them is really quite simple!
A SoundFont is a digital orchestra with ca. 150 real instruments! You can choose your instruments and let them play at will!
You could play MIDIs in great quality or you could switch real instruments within an instant: For example if you don't want a piano take a whole string ensemble with two clicks!
All you need is a PC, notebook or mac, which has a soundcard! Then you can start off right away!
If you have a Windows PC for example you just use SynthFont, which you can download here and then with the full version of Papelmedia Final SF2 XXL, but unfortunatly not so good with the demos, you can listen to your MIDI files in supreme quality! Or do you already have an Audigy or X-Fi? Even better! Just use as usual your favourite editor like Cubase, Cakewalk, Band-in-a-box or Fruity Loops with the new SoundFont!
You can even use Linux, because you just integrate the SoundFont with fluidsynth and KMid.
As a Macintosh user you just need QuickTime which will process your MIDIs with the new SoundFont!
Don't panic!
